About Us

Meetings: 2nd Monday 8pm,

Place: The Milk  Churn, Commerce Way, Melksham, SN12 6AD

Like most charities we have been unable to fundraise as we would have normally, but that hasn’t stopped us from making donations including the Christmas Lights, Melksham Foodbank, Wiltshire MIND and Bloodbikes,  We collected laptops and tablets for school children and we continue to distribute our free “Message in a Bottle”.  Behind the scenes we have been doing what we best, “We Serve”.

Coming out of lockdown (hopefully) in 2021,we are looking forward to getting out and about again in our local community and putting the fun back into fundraising. Although we have yet to finalise our calendar of events, we hope to beat the Melksham River Festival, marshalling at events, we are planning an Easter Egg Hunt and of course Santa and his reindeer will come out of lockdown too and will hopefully be at our local supermarkets again.

We do have our own fun too at our social events.  Our incoming President Jaki Stephen takes over the reins from Jim Whyborn in July this year and is hosting a Battle of Sexes Beach Party to mark the occasion and, the remarkable job Jim has done as President, especially during the pandemic.  And of course when Santa heads back to Lapland, we have our very own Christmas party.

If becoming a member of Melksham Lions is something you would like to do, please get in touch with us either via our Facebook page or our website www.melkshamlions.org.uk we would love to hear from you.
