The Melksham Food and River Festival Committee are delighted to launch this year’s Festival. The Festival is now firmly placed in the ‘must go to’ events in the Summer.

This year's Festival will be held in the beautiful King George V Park in the Town Centre over the weekend of Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th September, starting at 10.00 in the morning both days.   As usual this family event will be free to attend.

In addition, there is a special opportunity to charter a boat trip on Friday 2September. Please see our web site for details

We are delighted to confirm that already over 70 stalls have booked their place at the Festival, offering a wide range of delicious food as well as many local community, charity, and services.

The popular mix of music, dancing and food talks will again take place in the Leekes Marquee area again this year.  Popular belly dancing and rock and roll will be joined by a talk on bee keeping and also a talk and tasting on Healthy Eating .  These will be interspersed with local musicians show-casing their talents. New for this year will be the Bells Angels and we are looking forward to welcoming them.

On the River the Mary Archard and the Damsel Fly boats will again be transporting visitors up the river.  Melksham Canoe Club will be offering taster sessions on the Saturday, with paddle boarding sessions on both days also being available to book.

On Sunday Wiltshire Search and Rescue will use the river to show how they support the emergency services in rescuing missing people.

The Festival Committee are delighted to have continuing support from local sponsors Melksham Town Council, Leekes, Avonside, Melksham Scaffolding, Cooper Tires, Foxhangers, The Market Tavern, Melksham Without Parish Council and VK graphics are all supporting this years Festival.
