NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN

that due to the resignation of Carl Houghton, a vacancy has arisen in the Office of Councillor for

Melksham Town Council.

‍

If by 3 August 2023 (14 days after the date of this notice) a request for an election to fill said vacancy is made in writing to the Returning Officer at the address below by

TEN electors from the Town Ward of Melksham (Melksham East Ward), an election will be held to fill the said vacancy,

otherwise, the vacancy will be filled by co-option.

If an election is called, it will take place no later than 6 October, 2023.

Please note any requests to hold an election MUST be delivered only to the address below.
