TELL US WHAT YOU THINK OF THE UPDATES TO THE JOINT MELKSHAM NEIGHBOURHOOD PLAN 2- DRAFT B

CONSULTATION RUNS from THURSDAY 20TH JUNE 2024 to MIDNIGHT on THURSDAY 22ND AUGUST 2024

Consultation period extended to Thursday 22nd August as new evidence documents* were added on 10th July.
* Viability Assessments for Cooper Tires, former Library and Whitley Farm sites.

This summer there is another chance to have your say on the updates to the Joint Melksham Neighbourhood Plan. It's the next stage in the journey of keeping our communities' Neighbourhood Plan up-to-date and as strong as it can be.

We are now seeking comments specifically about the following sections (which are highlighted in yellow in the updated document) of the Neighbourhood Plan:

- Allocations for housing and employment- Policy 7
- Protecting areas between the town and our villages known as 'green wedges'- Policy 19

ANY COMMENTS PREVIOUSLY SUBMITTED FOR THE CONSULTATION IN 2023 HAVE ALREADY BEEN PROCESSED- THERE IS NO NEED TO RE-SUBMIT UNLESS DIRECTLY RELATED TO THESE UPDATES.

The updated draft Plan and evidence base reports are available to view on the ‘Neighbourhood Plan 2’ pages of the Neighbourhood Plan website here.

Hard copies of the Joint Neighbourhood Plan 2 are now available at:

Sprockets Cafe at Spindles Bike Shop, Top Lane, Whitley, SN12 8QU

You can also drop off any views in writing to Melksham Town Hall or to the Melksham Without Parish Council offices.

DROP-IN SESSIONS

Drop-In sessions where you can speak to someone about Draft B of the Joint Neighbourhood Plan 2, as well as discuss and submit your comments, will be held as follows:
