Salary – SCP 17 - £24,920

Would you like to be part of a proactive team responsible for building and maintaining a better office environment? You will also provide support and assistance as a member of the Town Council Officer Team in terms of supporting our internal and external communications strategy, writing, and disseminating publicity material, responding to enquiries from the public and media, and coordinating promotional events.

 

In addition, you will assist with the organisation and implementation of Town Council events and functions. This role would suit someone with experience of design and publishing software and conversant with all social media platforms.

 

Duties will include the preparation of newsletters and press releases, maintenance of the Town Council’s website and social media accounts, upkeep of Microsoft Teams software including Sharepoint, preparation of event management plans, risk assessments and road closure applications, and meetings with key stakeholders re events.

 

Candidates must possess a rigorous attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as the ability to prioritise and manage their workload within tight timeframes. Above all, a positive can-do attitude and willingness to work as part of a successful team is essential.

 

The successful applicant must be willing and able to work a flexible work pattern including weekends, evenings and Bank Holidays.
