Park Yoga in partnership with Melksham Town Council is seeking an experienced Yoga Instructor to deliver sessions at King George V Playing field in Melksham.
This is a new Park Yoga venue.
Park Yoga sessions take place every Sunday morning from the beginning of May to mid-September. The time of the session is 9.30-10.30 am.
The season is 20 weeks in total.
The sessions are open to all to attend, regardless of experience, age, or gender.
The rate of payment is £70 per week, to be paid by Melksham Town Council monthly. Sessions must only be cancelled for bad weather if absolutely necessary for safety reasons. If a session is cancelled due to bad weather, the rate of pay for the instructor is £20 for that week.
In addition to planning and delivering an appropriate, hour long session on Sunday morning; the Yoga Instructor is also required to complete a mandatory induction, actively manage and promote the venue specific Park Yoga Facebook page, represent and promote Park Yoga’s charitable status, ask for donations at weekly sessions, complete a Weekly Monitoring survey and end of season survey for Park Yoga Headquarters, and participate in discussions on the Park Yoga Instructors private Facebook Group.
•Believe that Park Yoga will benefit your community.
•Have a passion for introducing yoga to new audiences, in line with the charity’s objectives.
•Yoga instructor qualification.
•Be comfortable/experienced in instructing larger groups of participants.
•Available to deliver at least 80% of the sessions (and find an equally qualified cover instructor for any other sessions)
•Able to work independently and use own initiative.
•Happy to promote and represent the values of the Park Yoga charity.
•Experience managing a Facebook page.
•Local to the venue
•Previous experience running outdoor yoga sessions.
•First Aid qualification
•Able to transport equipment (portable PA system and flag) to the site weekly.
•Minimum £5 million public liability insurance.
•Insurance that covers yoga sessions outdoors without the need for participants to physically sign a register
•Insurance that covers delivering sessions to accompanied children.
•Be clear on what is required in pre-session verbal screening.
