Melksham Town Council is pleased to announce the appointment of Hayley Bell as Acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Town Clerk, and Proper Officer, effective Tuesday, 3rd June 2025. Hayley will formally transition into the permanent role of Chief Executive Officer and Town Clerk after a 6 month probationary period.
Hayley Bell brings a wealth of experience, operational knowledge, and a strong track record of service to the Council and the community. Her leadership, professionalism, and dedication make her ideally placed to guide the Council through this next phase.
In support of this transition, the Council is also pleased to confirm that Tracy Predeth will continue in her current role as Locum Town Clerk Officer until the end of August 2025, ensuring valuable continuity and support during this period of change.
The Mayor of Melksham, Cllr Saffi Rabey issued the following statement:

Hayley has demonstrated commitment, leadership, and integrity throughout her time with the Council, and I have every confidence in her ability to lead with distinction in this new capacity.
I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Tracy Predeth, who will remain with us as Locum Officer until the end of August. Her continued presence will be invaluable in ensuring a smooth and stable transition.
