They should show a well-rounded knowledge of groundsmanship and maintenance, including periodic safety inspections as well as isolated reports. We are seeking individuals with experience in grounds maintenance, horticultural, and Streetscene tasks. They should work safely, effectively, and professionally in all conditions, individually and as part of a team.

This is a public-facing position suitable for a postholder with a friendly and approachable demeanour.

Casual Venue Duty Supervisor – Melksham Assembly Hall

Part-Time, Flexible Hours

Join us in a flexible and rewarding role, where you will help bring events, performances, celebrations and local activities to the heart of Melksham’s community. If you are looking for a part-time role that offers responsibility and variety, our Casual Duty Supervisor position could be the perfect opportunity for you. No two days are ever the same.

The Casual Duty Supervisor will play a vital role in the safe, professional, and successful operation of Melksham Assembly Hall, Melksham Town Hall, and associated Council venues.

Acting as the senior operational lead during allocated shifts, key responsibilities will include overseeing events, performances, venue hires, community activities, private functions, and civic events. The ideal candidate will have high standards of customer service, safety and presentation. Experience in hospitality, licenced premises, events, or other customer facing environments will also be essential to work within the busy operational environment and undertake supervisor responsibilities.

If you are an enthusiastic problem-solver, with a clear communication style and approachable manner, then we would love to hear from you!
