What is Melksham’s Community Toilet Scheme?
Melksham’s Community Toilet Scheme works alongside existing public toilets by welcoming anyone to use the toilets of participating organisations, during normal opening hours, without being required to make a purchase or be a customer. The scheme helps reduce barriers and uncertainty, raises awareness of hassle-free toilet locations, and enables visitors to plan their trips with confidence.
Who can use Melksham’s Community Toilet Scheme?
Anyone! Whether you are a resident, working in Melksham, or simply visiting. Everyone is welcome to use Melksham’s public toilets or the facilities of participating businesses.
Do I need to pay to use the facilities?
No. You do not need to make a purchase or be a customer to use the toilet facilities at participating businesses.
When are the facilities available?
Melksham Town Council public toilets in Market Place are open 25/7, while Bath Road and King George V public toilets are open 08:00 to 18:00 everyday (summer hours).
Melksham Town Hall is open Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 16:00, with closures to be expected over bank holidays.
Community toilet facilities within businesses are available during each venue’s opening hours, which may vary. Visitors are encouraged to check individual opening times, particularly on bank holidays or during seasonal changes.
