Busking in Melksham

We welcome buskers and street performers who want to add to the town’s lively and creative atmosphere. Whether you’re a musician, magician, juggler, or spoken word artist, we encourage performances that entertain and bring joy to residents and visitors.

What you need to know about busking:

• Buskers must perform in designated areas and in a way that does not obstruct footpaths or business entrances.

• Performances should be kept at a reasonable volume and respectful of nearby businesses.

• While no formal licence is required, we ask that performers notify the Town Council in advance to avoid scheduling conflicts and ensure a positive experience for all.

• Collection of voluntary donations (“hatting”) is allowed but must not be intrusive.
