Farewell and Goodbye to Councillor Hubbard

Farewell and Goodbye to Councillor Hubbard

Melksham Town Council wishes to formally acknowledge and thank Councillor Jon Hubbard for his many years of dedicated service to the town, following his decision to step down from the Council.

Councillor Hubbard has been a long serving and deeply committed councillor, known for his tireless work on behalf of Melksham residents. During his time on Melksham Town Council, he has served the community with distinction, including holding the office of Town Mayor on two separate occasions. His leadership, integrity, and deep understanding of local issues have made a lasting impact on the town and its people.

While his resignation from Melksham Town Council marks the end of a significant chapter, we are pleased that Councillor Hubbard will continue to serve the wider community in his role as a Cabinet Member at Wiltshire Council. His passion for public service and advocacy for residents will undoubtedly continue to benefit Melksham and the wider county.

Mayor (Cllr Saffi Rabey) commented:

“Jon has been a strong voice for Melksham over the years and an exceptional colleague. His contributions will be missed on Melksham Town Council, but we know he will continue to serve with the same dedication and care at Wiltshire Council. We wish him all the very best in this next phase of his public service.”

Melksham Town Council extends its heartfelt thanks to Councillor Hubbard and wishes him continued success.
