Santa’s elves have ESCAPED from the Town Hall!
While helping set up the Christmas Grotto in That Meeting Place, the cheeky elves made a run for it and are now hiding in local businesses across town. Our video captured the moment it all unfolded!
The Mayor has issued an urgent statement, and we need YOUR help to find them!
Introducing the Melksham Christmas Elf Trail.
This year, Melksham Town Council are proud to launch the Christmas Elf Trail, a new community initiative that has brought together 69 local businesses to attract families into Melksham town centre throughout December.
The Elf Trail begins Saturday 6th December, launching alongside the Christmas Market & Lights Switch-On from 2pm, and runs until 23rd December
- Download your entry sheet & map below or pick one up from:
Melksham Town Hall, Cobbler’s Bench, Gompels, The Toy Shop, King’s Arms, or Doubles. - Search for the hidden elves and write down their names.
- Post your completed sheet through the Town Hall door or upload it using the online form.
Every entry goes into a prize draw, which will take place on the morning of Christmas Eve!

The enthusiasm from local businesses has been incredible! Their participation in hiding elves has transformed this initiative into a magical festive hunt across Melksham.
