Melksham Town Council Launches ‘Meet Your Councillors’ Event to Strengthen Transparency and Collaboration
Have your voice heard. Meet Melksham’s Councillors for a chance to offer feedback or ask questions over a coffee.
Melksham Town Council is committed to improving transparency and collaboration over decisions that make a difference to our community. To strengthen connections and two-way communication between Councillors and residents, Melksham Town Council is introducing ‘Meet Your Councillor’ sessions throughout 2026.
Residents are invited to join the Town Mayor, Councillor Saffi Rabey, and Councillor Andrew Griffin for coffee and cake on Saturday 14th February, at Melksham Town Hall between 10:00 and 12:00. These in-person conversations give residents the opportunity to share feedback directly, raise community issues and receive immediate responses to questions. No booking is required, simply turn up to have your voice heard.
‘Meet Your Councillor’ sessions help make community engagement more accessible, particularly for those without online access, improving the inclusivity of Melksham. They extend the ways in which our community can get to know their Councillors through in‑depth discussions on matters that shape our town.
Melksham Town Council looks forward to listening to the lived experiences and opinions of residents. By working together, Melksham can continue to grow as an inclusive and welcoming place for all.
Councillor, Andrew Griffin, said,
“I have been one of the four elected councillors for Melksham South Ward for two years but will happily discuss issues with residents from other wards, though I may have to refer details to my colleagues.”
