New trees planted at King George V Playing Field

11 containerised flower cherry trees have been planted in King George V Playing Field

11 containerised flower cherry trees have been planted in King George V Playing Field along the path that runs from the entrance at Lowbourne through to the car park in Bath Road creating what will once established an avenue of trees offering dappled shade in the summer months, along with Spring blossom and Autumn interest. Each tree has been fitted with a ‘Treegator’ tree water bag which holds up to 57 litres of water which seeps through the bottom of the bag and empties in 5-9 hours giving 100% absorption with no run off.
Containerised trees can be planted at any time of the year unlike bare rooted trees, which can only be planted between the months of late October through to February, in either case watering through the first and possibly second summer season is required to aid establishment.
