Melksham Civic Award Nominations Now Open

Nominations are now open for the Melksham Civic Awards, offering our community the chance to celebrate and thank the incredible individuals that make Melksham shine.

At the Mayor’s Reception, on Saturday 14th March 2026, our town will come together to recognise the outstanding contributions of the volunteers that make Melksham a better place.

Melksham’s Civic Awards welcome residents to highlight those who go above and beyond to support the Melksham community, showcasing the passion and collaboration of our dedicated volunteers.

Award categories

  • Advocate for Vulnerable People 2026 – Acknowledging someone who protects, uplifts and supports those who need that need it most.
  • Champion for Tackling Deprivation 2026 – Recognising an individual whose actions have a positive community impact on those facing hardship and make Melksham a more equal place to live.
  • Community Volunteer of the Year – Awarded to the person who generously dedicates their time to the community and makes a difference on the lives of those around them.
  • Young Volunteer of the Year – Celebrating a young person who inspires others through their actions and community involvement.

How to nominate

Let us know who you think deserves to be celebrated for their achievements in the local community, using the online form, and help us spread a spotlight on the amazing people who make Melksham great. Nominees will be invited to the Mayor’s Reception, where the award winners will be officially announced.
