Bleed Control Kits

installed across Melksham

Melksham Town Council has installed bleed control kits at key council locations as part of our ongoing work to improve public safety.

Bleed kits are designed to help control serious bleeding caused by accidents or medical emergencies until emergency services arrive. They sit alongside existing defibrillators and other first‑aid equipment, giving people access to life‑saving tools when every second counts.

📍 Bleed kits are now available at:

• Melksham Town Hall
• The Assembly Hall
• Evie’s Kitchen, King George V Park
• Council vehicles

These kits are intended for use in a wide range of situations — from workplace incidents and falls to serious accidents at events or in public spaces — and are part of a broader approach to keeping residents, staff and visitors safe.

More information on how to respond in an emergency can be found via the NHS and emergency services.
