Trigger Happy TV Among Big Acts Coming to Melksham in 2026 and 2027

Melksham Assembly Hall will be welcoming big acts in 2027, from the return of an iconic British comedy show to a punk rock vocalist and a World Snooker Champion. Tickets will be available to purchase from Friday 3rd April 2026.  

As Melksham Assembly Hall continues to grow and offer a diverse schedule of events, it is preparing to welcome a line-up of special guests. This includes World Champion Snooker Player, Dennis Taylor, former lead singer for the Sex Pistols, John Lydon, and hit Comedy writer, Dom Joly. The central venue is expanding its offering of muchloved entertainment to residents, drawing new visitors into Melksham and supporting the local economy by bringing nationally recognised artists to the Assembly Hall stage. 

Dennis Taylor – Evening with 

Thursday 10th December 2026 

An evening with Dennis Taylor is planned to deliver an excellent end to the year. Famous for the 1985 Black Ball Final, the former Snooker player won in an epic battle for that year’s World Championship against the dominant Steve Davis. Dennis is known as a regular face of the Snooker coverage on the BBC. His evening at Melksham Assembly Hall on 10th December 2026 promises to be full of personal stories from his epic final, giving sports fans a close insight into his life in the Snooker world. 

John Lydon – I could be wrong, I could be right  

Wednesday 2nd June 2027 

John Lydon, formerly known by the stage name Johnny Rotten, is best known as the lead singer for punk rock band the Sex Pistols from 1975 to 1978. Later, John founded and fronted the post-punk band, Public Image Ltd (PiL) and in 2004 made a surprise appearance on ITV’s I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!. He is now taking his ‘I could be wrong, I could be right – Q&A’ tour to Melksham Assembly Hall on 2nd June 2027. An intimate evening with honest stories from John Lydon’s life can be expected during his book tour, where fans can ask questions and listen to open answers. 

Dom Joly – Trigger Happy TV 25th Anniversary Tour  

Saturday 19th June 2027 

To mark the 25 years since Trigger Happy TV burst onto our screens, Dom Joly will be travelling across the UK presenting the Trigger Happy TV – Live! 25th anniversary tour.  

The show was best known for transforming the hidden camera format with a surreal universe of characters, unforgettable pranks and genuine reactions.  

On 19th June 2027, the show will make its way to Melksham Assembly Hall, bringing beloved iconic moments, such as The Great Snail, The Traffic Warden, The Morris Dancer, The Scout, A Gang of Squirrels, and THAT Big Mobile Phone, to local fans. Dom will share behind the scenes stories on how these unforgettable moments came to life. But the audience can expect more surprises. The live theatre show guarantees to bring unmissable, unexpected moments and pranks that can only be experienced live. 

Tickets for all events will be available from 9am on Friday 3rd April 2026 via the Melksham Assembly Hall website. These events are not to be missed.
