Courting Ghosts (Acoustic)

A Friday Light Live Sham Jam special featuring Courting Ghosts Acoustic – the acoustic sister act of Courting Ghosts – playing live and for FREE in the Market Place.

Fusing elements of Indie-Americana and folk-rock music, this melody-centric band create expansive acoustic ballads and high-energy, rhythm-driven songs.

Market Place will be transformed into a relaxed social space with tables and chairs, creating a welcoming setting for a varied programme of performances. Depending on interest from local performers, events may feature musicians, dancers, poets, speakers and other creatives, with different performances each month to appeal to a wide audience.

The initiative was proposed at the Town Council’s Community Development meeting in March and will run as a summer trial, with ongoing review.

The first Friday Light Live event will take place on Friday, 29 May 2026, from 6.00pm, and residents are warmly invited to come along and be part of something new.
